What counts as 1 credit? +
Only two things consume credits: an inspection report (1 credit) and a rental agreement (1 credit). Driver-licence checks, standalone DVLA + MOT + vehicle history lookups, and daily vehicle health checks are all unlimited and free on every account — paid or free-tier. Drafts, edits, viewing past records and inviting users never cost credits either.
Is a rental agreement plus an inspection 1 credit or 2? +
Two credits — each is a separate record. A typical rental yard handover costs exactly 2 credits: the rental agreement (1) + the inspection report (1). The driver-licence check on the hirer and the DVLA + MOT + vehicle history lookup pulled into the inspection are bundled at no extra cost.
What is bundled into one inspection report? +
A single inspection report (1 credit) includes the DVLA registration data lookup, full MOT history, and vehicle history checks (stolen, outstanding finance, insurance write-off, valuation) at no extra cost. The driver-licence share-code check on the driver is free as well — it never consumes a credit.
Do credits expire? +
All top-up credits — Starter, Standard, Pro and Volume packs — are valid for 12 months from purchase. Subscription-issued credits (Plus / Plus Pro / Plus Business) roll over while the subscription is active and expire at the end of the paid billing period after cancellation. Free Basic credits expire after 90 days of account inactivity.
Is there a contract or minimum term? +
No. Packs are one-off purchases. Subscriptions are month-to-month and can be cancelled any time — you keep credits already in your account until the end of the billing period.
How does this compare with paying per vehicle per month? +
Per-vehicle SaaS pricing typically lands in the £30–£150 per vehicle per month range, billed annually — a fixed cost whether you produce 10 reports that month or 500. vehReports charges only when you generate an inspection report or a rental agreement, so a 100-vehicle yard producing ~500 reports a month pays roughly £500 instead of £3,000+. Do I pay per user or per seat? +
No. You can invite drivers, yard staff, admin and franchise sub-accounts without paying per seat. You only pay for inspection reports and rental agreements — nothing else.
Can I get an invoice / VAT receipt? +
Yes. All purchases are billed via Stripe and produce a VAT invoice with MATIC AUTOMOTIVE LIMITED as the supplier. Prices are quoted ex-VAT; Stripe Tax adds UK VAT (20%) at checkout. VAT-registered businesses can reclaim in the usual way.
